Google Reader adds recommended feeds — and magic!

An update to Google Reader this afternoon added recommended feeds. Sounds promising, if it works on learning what people really like — it did realize I read a lot of soccer blogs (what gave it away?), but the first recommendation was for a site aimed at women. Hmm.

Interestingly, you can sort these feeds (or any of your existing feeds or folders) by oldest, newest, or … by magic? I’m guessing it’s based on recent-ness, popularity of the feed, and the number of ‘likes’ a post has gotten.

More from the Google Reader blog.
